So glad you reposted this today. I've been feeling this way for years. It's literally the crux of everything I do. The stories I want to tell, the music I make, everything. And again, it's why I push for us stepping away from focusing on the overt politics of our creations, and instead on elevating them on pure merit. Bitching about the news of the day is easy. Bitching about vacant entertainment is easy. Making art, supporting it, and proliferating it; that's the real challenge, but it's what 90% of eyes should be on. Not just for the sake of culture, but for the craft itself.
