Thanks, man. It's more appreciated than you know. I plan to at least finish the series and not leave anyone hanging that invested their time and money into me already.
Hi, Rob! Thanks for sharing this, it really resonates with me! You've been an amazing advocate for self-pub, but there's only so much one person can do to help lift up the rest of us! If I were you, I'd focus on my own series and not risk burning out on the secondary and tertiary projects!
I'm focused on one side thing right now, which is tied to my main series. It's almost done. Once it is, I'm just focusing on the next book and that's it. I'll still try to help others along the way where I can, but I'm also going to take everything day-by-day. I think my promo side of things for others is going to be focused more thru YouTube.
Thank you. You've got a hell of a lot of spirit and you're one of the most encouraging people on these platforms. I hope we can talk at some point on a stream, but I really need to get my YouTube channel rolling.
I'm sure the weekly work seems thankless, so thank you! I really appreciate your big promo threads. That's the life of the indie author. I'm not counting on any real traction till I have 4 or 5 books out and maybe 15 to 20 shorts. I's a slow burn.
I have to say your gif promos are very nice. I can noodle around on photoshop but my skills at gifs and videos is lacking. Something for me to shoot for.
As for promomoting - I do the minimum by retweeting and trying to be positive, but there are a lot of people who have helped me, including you. I do have an eye to do more, its just where to get the time. I'm on a writing and editing spree right now. Afterwords I will be reading and REVIEWING indie authors. Still not a huge thing. At some point I would like to blog and maybe set up on youtube like John and A Drink With Crazy.
Anyway, you are a stand out. Let's hope you sell a few thousand books this year.
Keep at it, man. We need more independent voices and fiction. I'll be picking up a copy of your first book today. Keep writing and publishing!
