I wanted maps for the 1st book. My artist flaked out on my last minute, as did my cover artist. I have some shitty hand drawn maps in my notebooks for my own reference. I've tried doing it with a few different softwares for that, but I'm not crazy about any of them.
I like to play around making maps on Inkarnate whenever I get writers block. Seems to help me stay focused on the world I've created without getting burned out on the writing part of it.
