Not Enough Time In a Day
I haven’t posted here as regularly as before, especially this week, as the real job has been crazy and what little free time I’ve had to write has gone to working on Book II.
I did get some writing done since the last update, maybe about a chapter or so, and I feel like I’m about 85-90 percent of the way done with the main story. I’m still uncertain if I am going to tack a short story on at the end like I did in the first book. If I do, it’s probably not going to be too long, and just remain focused on its narrative objective, as I want to keep the total book under 200 pages due to keeping it as cheap as possible for readers, as well as having it presented in a pulp style pocket book.
And that’s about it. I need to get back to the book.
Plus, I’m starting to really dislike Substack, as posts here don’t reach anyone, unless you’re already famous and drag your readers from elsewhere. It’s a terrible platform if you’re trying to grow your readership, has no real tools to help you, and supports you about as well as those busted out, holey tighty whiteys you’ve had since high school.
Additionally, there are no other platforms I really want to move to. So I guess I’ll occasionally still type away into the Substack void… until I don’t.
