When I started this Substack in early January, I wasn’t sure how things would pan out, but I did set a goal for myself of hitting 100 subscribers by year’s end. Frankly, I wasn’t sure if that was realistic and for the first seven or eight months, I thought that it was probably an insane overestimation on my part.
Yet, here I am, it’s legitimately New Year’s Eve and I just hit 100 subs about an hour ago.
Having built this platform into what it has become for me, on top of having written four books in a year (the fourth close to release), and working a very full-time job… 2022 has been a hell of a year for me.
I do want to thank everyone who has bought my books, given them a shot, and reviewed them on Amazon, as that helps quite a bit. I especially want to thank those who have reviewed my books on their own platforms and helped signal boost my work. Additionally, I want to thank those who have either had me on their YouTube channels or simply shouted me out. Last, but definitely not least, thanks must go out to the other great creatives I have met over the past year, who are making good shit and hustling like hell to get their work out there.
Thank you all, seriously.
That’s it for now. The timing of this, in regards to what I’m doing at the moment (being that it is New Year’s Eve), couldn’t have been more perfect. I’m at a gettogether, waiting for my ribeye to hit the plate, my cigar to be lit, and my bourbon to be poured, but I couldn’t let the night pass without acknowledging this milestone and tipping my hat to those that helped me get here.
I may do a New Year’s Resolution post tomorrow. I still have a short story I have to finish though.
Peace out 2022, it’s been really, really, real.
P.S.: Fuck that hoe ass hurricane!
