"Book IV", a New Arc in the "Barbarians of the Storm" Saga

...and with that real darkness is on the horizon

It’s time for my weekly-ish update on the next book’s progress.

Book IV of the Barbarians of the Storm series is moving along. As of this morning, I finished chapter 2. The first part of the book deals with not just setting up the rest of the book, but also setting up the next few books, as the saga enters a new arc, the second of three planned. Although, it is also laying the groundwork for what is beyond that.

Newer, darker, and more powerful entities are now coming into play and some Easter eggs from previous books will be revealed. Many of them probably flew under the radar, but as I stick to the big plan, more dots will be connected. But that’s how each book in this series goes and why it’s best to not just stick to the numbered saga books. A lot is laid out in the anthologies and Side Quest stories. In fact, that’s where all the deeper lore really is and where it originates and develops. Not all, but most.

While I am not sure how long this book is going to be, something major is planned for it that will change the landscape of the series in many ways. Also, there are a lot of little twists I’ve also had planned for awhile and they either happen here, or I am building towards them.

As far as this arc, it should be contained to just two saga books, as opposed to three with the first arc. However, there will still be other releases between them that also relate to them.

For now, that’s it. There’s not a whole lot to say and I need to get back to writing the book. By the way, that cat in the image is important and his presence has already been seen, even though you don’t know how yet.
