"Book II": Just a Wee Bit More
Coming off of the busiest and craziest work week I’ve had this year, I think I’m mostly in the clear from things that’ll effect my productivity on finishing up Book II. Being that I work in a creative field, it takes a lot out of me when I want to work on my own creative projects outside of my primary source of income.
So where am I at exactly?
Well, as of this morning, I only have a chapter or two left in the short story that will be tacked on to the end of the book. Once that’s done, hopefully in a day or two, I will start the second proofreading and editing phase.
Beyond that, I guess I have to start working on the cover design. Ideally, I’d still like to have art that is reminiscent of the Frank Frazetta style paperback covers that made me fall in love with pulpy paperbacks in the first place, but I’ll probably just do the art myself, once again.
As far as the title goes, I will reveal it when the book is about to launch.
I can’t give a definitive date on when Book II will be released but it’s close. I’d imagine that it’ll be out by the end of the month if everything goes smoothly from here on out.
However, I will give weekly updates here (at the bare minimum) until it actually hits Amazon. After that, the Talking Pulp Press Substack will focus on marketing and talking about the book, while I prep Book III. My goal was to have the first three out by the end of the year, and I think I’m doing pretty good on time.
