*the above image is a sneak peek at the revised cover for Dan the Destructor.
A lot has happened in the two days since my last update.
Book II of the Barbarians of the Storm series is now complete. I have ordered the rough draft press proofs to double check everything. Those take a week or so to show up, but there are things I tend to catch while proofreading a physical book that I don’t when reading a document on a screen.
With that, there will probably be more editing and possibly some things I feel like I need to fix or elaborate on. Last time, this process only took me a few days and I think that it should probably go just as smoothly.
Additionally, the cover for the new book has been designed and it’s good to go, other than the write-up description for the back.
I went with a very different artistic style for this book, as I was never super happy with the cover for the first one, which was slapped together last minute after some artists flaked out on me.
To keep things consistent and because my real job has me working in marketing and brand development, I want to have a consistent look for the book series. Therefore, I also redesigned the cover for Dan the Destructor.
I will probably release the updated version of Dan the Destructor pretty quickly. So if you have the original cover, it might be a collector’s item one day. Probably not, but if I ever reach George RR Martin status, you can potentially use it as a down payment on a sweet house.
The name and cover reveal for Book II will be coming soon. I don’t want to reveal it quite yet, as I want to have the process of finalizing everything near completion. I had issues with the title of the first book and decided to slightly alter it when another author’s work beat mine to market.
For now, that’s it! Big shit is coming very, very soon.
