My last update, a week ago, covered some of the current things I am dealing with, which have worked against me being as productive as I’d like on my creative projects. Well, last week I hit a massive stride and got a hell of a lot of writing done! I felt like I was entering creative peak territory like I did when I was crushing through Swords Against Bastards nearly a year ago.
On Discord, I post the next book’s stats every day that I add to the book. This time last week, I was at 11 chapters, 83 pages, 22k words. Right now, I am at 16 chapters, 115 pages, 30.5k words. That’s one hell of a motherfucking week, brohs and brahs.
With that, the book’s second act is done. Like I did when I completed the first draft of the first act, I will proofread it, edit it, and beef it up. With a lot happening, as things in the story move towards its massive climax, I have to make sure everything is fine tuned. Besides, a break to focus on the proofing process is also kind of nice, as the last chapter in this act was one of those ones that leaves a bit of an emotional toll.
It’s also kind of crazy that I’m only two acts into the story and this thing is already as long as most main stories in the previous Barbarians of the Storm books. Compared to the other installments, this one is shaping up to be an epic beast.
I’m going to end it here for now. I need to stay focused on the book while I’ve got the megajuices flowing.
Hell yeah!
Awesome!!!
